However, the most meaningful takeaway was living in a community that prized intellectual curiosity and encouraged us to engage in difficult conversations with colleagues from around the world. I found that this space to dialogue - whether over a coffee in the Blakeley kitchen or during class discussions - gave us the chance to learn about our counterparts' point of view rather than focus on getting to an endpoint in a discussion.
